I CANNOT live without lip balm. I need to have it on me or next to me at all times. I literally have it everywhere!! On my nightstand, in my jackets, scrubs, purse, car... you get the point. So this should not surprise you that I HAD TO try the new Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm. It has clean ingredients without synthetic dyes or fragrances, and parabens which can be found in other lip balms. I'm already obsessed with Summer Fridays, especially the Jet Lag mask which is so hydrating! If you don't have one yet, you need to check out our Sephora Spring Sale Must-Haves to learn more about it!
At first, the tube was much smaller than I thought it would be, but it's perfect to carry with you ANYWHERE. My first impression of trying this product was that it definitely felt very "buttery" on your lips. I did find it to be slightly sticky but not greasy, in the sense that your hair will get stuck on your lips, but this doesn't really bother me. It also smells soooo yummy because it contains natural vanilla flavor and the smell is not overpowering.
You can use it during the day as a lip balm and/or night for a hydrating lip mask while you are asleep. It's very important to me that when I use a lip balm, it leaves my lips hydrated without needing to constantly reapply. This is probably one of the first lip balms I've tried that actually does what it's supposed to and I'm serious about it. It lasts on your lips and I can go on for hours without reapplying! Also, the fact that it contains Shea and Murumuru seed butter helps with naturally hydrating, moisturizing, and healing your dry lips. It also creates this beautiful shine because it contains vegan waxes as one of its main ingredients.
I am all for the packaging because it's like a mini Jet Lag Mask. However, I would prefer that it came with an applicator tip because I personally don't like applying anything to my lips with my fingers. I don't want to spread any bacteria from my hands. In addition I always have to go and wash my fingers to get the residue off. For example, if I'm driving and wanted to apply some, it wouldn't be ideal for me. I hope you get what I mean, but besides this, I can't really complain.
Secret tip: A lot of the product tends to come out if you squeeze too hard, so squeeze gently on the tube!
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend you try this new Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm and it is definitely going on my re-buy list.
